Quality & Welfare

We don't cut corners on welfare or quality. See the standards behind every Sunrise egg.

Traceability

We can trace every egg we pack right back to the flock that laid it. Each egg is stamped and recorded through our grading and packing systems, linking it to its farm, its hen house and its date of lay.

Food safety

Food safety runs through everything we do, from the farm to the final pack. Our packing centre holds the British Lion mark and BRC certification, two of the most rigorous standards in British food, and is independently audited against them.

Sustainability

We take our responsibilities to our neighbours and our environment seriously. Our environmental policy commits us to:

  • Minimising traffic, noise, dust and smell
  • Preventing pollution
  • Maximising recycling and energy efficiency
  • Developing green power generation
